What you're about to put on your turntable is nothing less than fourteen inches of funk fuelled hip hop with a blues edge. Bristol based producer, Ben 'One Hundred Strong' Dubuisson hooks up with label mate and astral travelling poet Jason Todd (vocalist for both Def Harmonic and The Vanishing System) for four minutes of original, proper r&b flavour! Todd drops 'sonic diagrams from the iron diaphragm? as 'Lightnin' Hopkins is name checked over guitar licks straight out of the deep South, along side authentic old school hip hop samples. The 'ultra clean cheese grater of rap? both verbalises and sings on this tuff little 45, coming off something like Andre 3000 dueting with George Clinton on BB King's front porch. Ben delivers his trademark fat backbeat, along with the afore-mentioned axe licks, turntable trickery and brassy horn parts. A rare hip hop nugget for funk heads and an essential dance floor cut for rap djs worldwide. Hardcore!'

"Oozes funk and dancefloor grinding?production is strong, fusing funk and hiphop with vibes with a bouncing bass line rolling throughout and the right amount of chorus cuts" - UKHH.COM

"a legitimate attempt to replicate a 70's funk vibe. Its not an 'ugh!' funk track as it has a more generic sound, but it is captivating and thankfully not overshadowed by beats. 4/5" - The Echo

"Like the Herbaliser, it?s a British made beat with imported rhymes. ?expect a party-killing double-time jam. Fans of j5, UD & DJ Format listen in" - The Stool Pigeon

"Ben Dubuisson enlists MC Jason Todd to bust his def self over a proper old skool rhythm. Lifted, cut and reconstructed hardcore poetry borrows grooves from soul, rock and funk while Todd explains his love of addidas and the hip hop holy trilogy" - Notion
